El Vaqueril

Located in a 450 hectare estate, El Vaqueril is one of the pioneering country hotels in the region of Extremadura. It is surrounded by cork trees and is still an active agricultural and farm.

Manager by the owner, El Vaqueril’s operating philosophy is “to live in harmony with the environment. Hunting is not allowed on the estate and numerous lanes have been prepared and signed-posted in order to ensure the wild flora is respected“.

The estate is divided into the leisure tourism side, which takes place in the hotel, and the farming side, which is mainly agriculture and farming. Both activities are synchronised and complement each other. They both bring in the necessary dividends to keep the estate going.

Agricultura : based on the extraction and farming of cork and the farming of honey bees.

Cattle ranch: based on the extensive open-air farming of pure-bred “Retinta” (red) cattle and black iberian pigs.
