Please find below our Summer Activity Programme :
- Language Workshops (French, English or Spanish). Learning takes place through games, singing and group activities, in order to promote the speaking of the language, without the fear of making mistakes. As the course participants come from different countries, there will also be language exchange sessions under the language teacher’s supervision. Private lessons are also available at a set fee
- Nature Workshops. Exploring all aspects of the trees that grow in Extremadura, their leaves and bark, as well as the different birds that nest in them and how to recognise their song, the structure of a bees nest and an ants nest, etc…
- Aromatic Plant Workshops. We study the different properties and characteristics of aromatic plants such as peppermint, aloe vera, chamomile, rosemary, lavander, valerian root.
- Cooking Workshops. Children have the opportunity to learn how to bake bread, muffins, home-made puddings and sweet regional specialties.
- Art & Creative Workshops. How to build a sun dial clock, how to make a kite, learn to draw and paint with a variety of different materials.
- A myriad of different games. Outdoor activities and pool games (a maximum of 6 children at a time and with 2 instructors)
- Treasure Hunt. We organise a fun & instructived treasure hunt following the various routes that surround the estate – the Red Route to the large boulder, inhabited by a family of foxes, the Blue Route which leads to the stork’s nest and the Green Route which follows a number of boulders eroded over the centuries into interesting shapes.
- A Custom-made Notebook. Each child will create a notebook with all the projects and artwork to take home as a souvenir of a memorable holiday.
- Meals. All meals (breakfast, mid-morning snack (fruti & drinks), lunch, tea time and súper will be served in the Hotel restaurant.
- Accommodation. The bedrooms vary in size, either 2 beds or 4 beds per room depending on the childrens’ ages.
We are currently preparing school day trips & excursions to El Vaqueril, for schools and children organisations in order for them to enjoy the animal farm/petting zoo and the aromatic herb garden and the more extensive cattle and cork farm, traditional Extremadura farm. Our qualified instructors are qualified and experienced, each with over 8 years’ experience working in schools and summer camps.
